Students of the 21st century need to be creative, these skills will be paramount to their success as part of a technologically advanced society. Teaching students to answer tests prepares them to pass the rigors of school of yesteryear but not the real world in which they will live and need to survive in. The Ignite, Innovate, Integrate ICT conference assists those in attendance with ideas and starting points to introduce practical 21st century creative ideas into every classroom.

Key speakers and participants came together in workshops to focus on helping students best prepare for 21st Century employment
18 August 2014: Some of Australia’s top educators joined forces to share teaching strategies to empower Australian kids for the high-tech jobs of tomorrow. Broadband Solutions, one of Australia’s most successful business internet service providers was a key sponsor of the this year’s Ignite, Innovate, Integrate ICT Conference held at Melbourne’s Kingswood Primary School on Friday 15 August.
From computational thinking and digital media through to E-Learning, Coding, Assessment Apps and cyber-safety, Ignite, Innovate, Integrate brought together a range of thought leaders across critical focal areas. The keynote speakers included Dr Tim Kitchen, Chris Betcher, Nathan Jones and 14-year-old app developer Leio Oshima McLaren.

The conference brought together educators from all over Australia who discussed how information technology can be more effectively taught in schools.
