Built for schools: ThinkPad 11e Series available in Traditional or Yoga forms running Windows 8 or Chrome OS
Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today announced that the new ThinkPad 11e series of laptops will be on display at EduTECH on the 3rd and 4th June, 2014 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The ThinkPad 11e is 30 percent thinner and 25 percent lighter than the previous ThinkPad X131e model. Having passed MILSPEC testing, the device comes with a range of enhancements to the rugged design including reinforced corners, legendary keyboard, display, and hinges to stand up to the daily rigors of everyday use in Education.
“The new ThinkPad 11e form factors offer students and teachers more choice with the option of the traditional clamshell notebook as well as a Yoga hinge design for a touch model that turns into a tablet, all available with Windows or Chrome OS,” said Simon Kent, ThinkPad Product Manager, Lenovo ANZ.
Powered by an Intel® processor providing fast boot times and equipped with all day battery life (over 8 hours performance, based on the MM12 industry standard), the ThinkPad 11e series provides children with the ultimate learning device.
The traditional laptop version comes with an 11.6-inch HD LED antiglare screen, providing a clear display in any environment, making it the perfect machine for on-the-go learning, while the ThinkPad Yoga 11e devices come equipped with an IPS wide viewing angle, to cater for different learning styles and classroom environments.
Pricing and Availability
The ThinkPad 11e series of devices will be available from Lenovo business partners and on www.lenovo.com.au. Pricing for the new ThinkPad 11e will start from AU$579 including GST.
